Standard Metal Braces
Traditional braces have a silver color and are made from surgical-grade stainless steel. We still use these in most cases. They have several advantages over other types of braces, including least expensive, strongest, allow for precise control of tooth movement.
Cosmetic Clear Ceramic Braces
Cosmetic clear braces are a great option to minimize noticeable braces. They work the same way conventional braces do. The only difference is that cosmetic clear braces are translucent and discreet, whereas conventional braces are silver in appearance. Cosmetic clear braces are made of ceramic materials; they are extremely strong and don’t absorb colors or odors. That means you’ll look great throughout the course of your orthodontic treatment.
Invisalign®
The Invisalign System is a series of clear overlay templates—called aligners—that have been generated by computer simulation to gradually move the teeth. This system is available to adult patients with certain orthodontic bite problems. Ask us if you are a candidate for the Invisalign system.
Self-Ligating Braces
Self-ligation is an innovative orthodontic technology that makes wearing braces more efficient. Unlike traditional braces, which involve attaching archwires to the braces with small elastic bands, self-ligating braces feature a built-in clip that holds the wire in place, allowing it to slide more freely back and forth as the teeth are aligning. This can often result in straightening teeth more quickly than regular braces. In addition, self-ligating braces require fewer adjustments, which means your number of visits to our office will be reduced. Because self-ligating braces do not require elastic bands to hold the archwire in place, they are less noticeable and are easier to keep clean. Children and adults are both candidates for self-ligating braces, so anyone can take advantage of their many benefits.
